SOMATIC MEDITATION IMMERSION

Inner Ocean is an experience birthed from Somatic Psychology through the practices of embodied movement, pranayama, meditation, and expressive arts. The goal of this experience is to ease into the quiet stillness of meditation, so as to deepen our relationship with ourselves.

 

The immersion begins with movement to prepare the body for a quieter practice. Through movement, we will discover what wants to be released or attended to in the body. From movement, we will begin a regenerative breathwork session to heal the body on a cellular level. From the active breath, we will transition into seated meditation, to allow for a deep sense of settling and integration. We will process the entire embodied experience through expressive art.

 

The sequence of events can be seen as a metaphorical lens of diving deeper and deeper, from the restless currents into the quieter depths of the ocean. This practice welcomes all levels. Mats, props, refreshments, and a beautiful meditation kit will be provided.

Each session is open to 4 participants.

I attended Stephanie’s Inner Ocean Silent Retreat and received so much from it!

I especially loved that the session included different modalities, from journalling, somatic movement, breathwork, expressive art, on top of the silent meditation.
