Your “Yes!” sets the universe in motion.
Two years ago, when I had just moved to Melbourne, I came across a Lemurian conference retreat in Hawaii that sang out to me. When I saw the line-up and the content of the retreat, it was exactly what my soul had been searching for (but didn’t know existed!)
It was happening one week after my personal Avalon pilgrimage in 2023 — something I had already committed to and was very excited about.
I knew in my bones that the Lemuria retreat felt aligned on every level. Looking back now, it held the container for the setting of a completely new course in my personal life. At the same time, I wasn’t confident I was able to finance it.
A few days later, I shared about it with a friend — really excited, and also contracted — and said, “I don’t know if I’ll have the money to go…”
My friend replied,“If your heart says ‘Yes,’ go for it. You will be supported.”
When I received that message, something clicked inside me. It felt like I was receiving Divine Truth. It was simple, it could easily have been overlooked as fluff — but it landed in me with a deep resonance. A clear, embodied “Of course.”
So I went ahead and booked my spot.
I didn’t know how I would finance the retreat, the flights, the accommodation — especially since I had also planned to take a sabbatical.
Lo and behold, every time I needed to pay an installment, I was able to.
I decided to spend a week in Oahu before the retreat and booked myself a five-star beachfront hotel — I was able to pay for that too.
At the retreat, I purchased my first crystal chalice bowl, inscribed with Mary Magdalene. It cost almost as much as the retreat itself — I was able to pay for that as well.
Beyond the finances, the conversations and connections at the retreat gave me the courage to change the trajectory of my personal life.
The entire experience was mind-blowing.
Also, between saying the Yes and the retreat, I fell in love with Astrology and took a course that was about $13000, I was able to pay for t
hat as well!!!
That was the last time I doubted my heart’s “Yes.”
This was in 2023. Since then, I’ve been shown again and again that my heart’s “Yes” is a compass — my North Star.
Even when it makes no sense. Or when it feels impossible.
That’s when I realized: we are the ones who think it isn’t possible. When we truly want something — truly — and we say “Yes” and commit to it, the universe has no choice but to rearrange itself so we can cross the bridge from where we are now to that which we’ve said “Yes” to.
Now, in 2025 — after two years since that experience — even as I toggle between moments of fear and limitation, and moments of fierce, unshakeable courage and deep knowing, this truth still stands.
I genuinely feel that this is a little-known truth about our reality.
So many times I’ve committed to strong Yes-es without knowing how I would cross the bridge. And just as many times, the bridge has appeared — sometimes one plank at a time, and sometimes as a jaw-dropping miracle, appearing all at once.
Another friend once said to me, in a similar context,“Focus on what you want. Don’t worry about the how.”
Don’t worry about how the bridge will appear – it just will.
For a long time, I was conditioned to judge this way of being as reckless, irresponsible, impulsive — I was told that I should be more prudent, that the world doesn’t work like this, that I needed to be more responsible.
Honestly, this feels like the most responsible thing I can do for myself.
To follow my truth.
To brave my fears.
To tune out other people’s scarcity and projections.
Another friend once told me,
“Because I see you do it, Steph, I know it’s possible for me too.”
And it is!! It is possible for everybody.
It takes courage — especially to break out of the box of limitation we’ve trapped ourselves in — but this magic, or Truth of our reality, is available to us all. Just because we were taught something else, taught to fear, doesn’t make it Truth.
So this is my invitation to you:
What are some “Yes-es” that you have been holding out on?
The ones you really want so deeply, but cannot because “no money, no time, no one to take care of the kids, no one to cover me at work, can’t take leave, no more leave, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc………..” (the list can be endless)
What are these Yes-es?
Write them down, now.
“My list of YES!”
And really mean them. Don’t do this for fun. Mean your Yes-es.
Then do what you need to do to commit to it.
Sign up for the thing. Book the trip. Pay your downpayment.
Whatever it is to commit to the Yes.
Then take a deep breath in.Let out an audible exhale or sigh.And go about your life, allowing yourself to feel excited about what’s coming.
Watch the bridge appear — one plank at a time, or all at once.
This is a magical world. It is also our reality.
Sadly we’ve learnt to close our eyes to it, to scoff at it, to trap ourselves in our endless reasonings of “I can’t because…”
Let 2026 — let this 1 Year — be a year of magic.Of unbelievable miracles. Of heart-resounding YES-es.
Go for your dreams, and your dream experiences.
The Way is taken care of (already).
Trust in your heart’s desires.
And go all the way.
