a different flavour of aliveness this october!
In this season, I am learning — really learning —
a different taste, texture, design of aliveness.
What it means to lean into what I feel is slow.
Snail-paced. Unbearable.
But what I know is the divine timing and pace of spirit.
I feel that growing up, if I didn’t do something right now —
that’s it, that’s a lost opportunity.
The grown-ups will change their minds and that chance will slip
right through my fingers.
So I have learnt to be
efficient, fast, swift, agile.
When there is an impulse,
I take action
and follow it all the way through.
This way of being has brought me to
many, many wonderful experiences, places,
people.
I love it deeply.
I love this Aries medicine of trusting your gut and following your life-force impulse and primal instinct.
There is so much aliveness and vibrancy in this way of moving through the world.
In this season,
it feels like I’m being taught the Taurean way.
Slow. Savouring. Steady.
Built to last,
not to burn out.
Built for sustenance,
growth, longevity.
Enduring.
While it is not my default modus operandi,I am enjoying the experiment of
moving slow.
Savouring.
Observing.
Noticing.
I am realising how much richness lives here.
In the depth of slowness.
Moment
to moment
presence.
Deep presence.
Whole-bodied presence.
A very different flavour of aliveness at this pace.
And of course, it is teaching me a new way to trust.
(When is spirit ever not teaching me to trust??)
That what’s mine will be mine, no matter the timing.
I don’t need to rush to do, possess, attain.
I don’t need to collapse the space between desire and fulfilment.
Between uncertainty and knowing.
There is richness in this space.
In this season,
I am learning to enjoy it.
Or at least, learn from it.
It’s very new for me.
And as always — what I’m learning becomes what I share as I grow through the process, because teaching has always been how I’ve learnt to integrate the medicine of the work much deeper.
So, if this speaks to you — join me in these in-person classes in Singapore!
These HAVE been desires and inspirations made manifest —
so I am deeply + highly excited to share them and be in the same physical spaces with you all!!!
Inspired by my deep yearning to be back in the space of teaching yoga —
The last time I taught a group yoga class was 6 years ago,
and for the past years I have been deeply desiring to return to sharing my love for this practice.
That has stayed with me through the years, even if I’m not teaching it.
A practice to slow me down.
An opening to invite me fully, sensorially, back into my body.
A space for creative insights and inspiration to land.
An hour to bring my mental state back to neutral.
