Awaken Your Inner Knowing: A Somatic and Psychic Journey

I truly believe that our bodies hold the Akashic library of our soul. Every moment, every place, every interaction, and every connection we have ever experienced is stored within the records of our bodies.

Our bodies are the living text of our soul. To know the soul, we can look to the body. The condition of our soul is revealed not only in how we move, speak, stand, and express ourselves outwardly but also in the quieter sensations within—emotions, headaches, pain, or discomfort that might remain invisible to others.

To deepen our relationship with our soul, we must first cultivate a deep and intimate connection with our body.

For me, this journey began with Somatics.

In 2018, I left my full-time role to pursue a Master’s in Depth Psychology and Somatics. Initially, I wanted to study psychology to become a better leader in the workplace, but the specialization in somatics was pure curiosity.

Looking back, there were signs all along.

I remember the feeling of my whole body grinning as I held a half-moon pose, overlooking the shimmering waters of Sentosa. There were moments of weeping in Savasana when I couldn’t explain why, and the strange sensation of pins and needles coursing through my mouth and throat in Bikram yoga. At the time, I didn’t understand what was happening.

Later, I learned these were somatic experiences, my body speaking truths I wasn’t yet conscious of.

As I began to immerse myself in the world of Somatics, one memory stands out vividly. I recall the visceral sensation of dancing in gold glitter while my professor spoke of the soul within the body. It felt like the deepest truth I had ever known.

One of the most profound lessons I learned was about the mirroring of the nervous system between mother and child. The body holds an unspoken language. It shows up in the therapeutic relationship, too. If the therapist, guide, or space-holder is dysregulated or unsettled, the client will sense it—often without having words to describe what they feel. This realization struck me deeply.

It validated my own sensitivity—the moments when I had sensed something was “off” but couldn’t explain why, only to learn later that I was right. Our bodies are privy to insights and truths that our logical minds cannot always access nor grasp.

We’ve all had those moments when our body gives us a strong “no,” even when everything on paper seems perfect. Or when we sense something untrustworthy in a person or situation, only to realize later that our instincts were right.

Of course, there’s always the question: what if I’m just projecting past fears onto a present situation? But there’s a subtle, felt difference. The body knows. With practice, we can learn to discern between past wounds coloring our perception and the quiet truth of the present moment. Developing intimacy with our bodies allows us to make this distinction with clarity and confidence.

This is the priceless gift of attuning to the body’s wisdom.

When we allow the sensitivity we’ve been criticized for—hence learned to suppress—to come back online, we gain access to our inner knowing, our psychic sensibilities. Because the truth is, what we need to know is already within us, embedded in the language of the body. We need only learn how to listen.

This is the heart of what I’ll be sharing in the upcoming training: Somatic Wisdom and Psychic Sensibilities.

In this five-week journey, we’ll explore the many ways the soul speaks to us through the body and cultivate a deep, intimate relationship with our inner knowing.

·      Access the ancient, intuitive wisdom stored within your body

·      Express what you sense but cannot yet put into words

·      Read the energy of situations, people, and yourself

·      Hone and enhance your psychic and clair senses (clairvoyance, clairsentience, claircognizance, and clairaudience)

·      Hold space to offer divinatory readings, channeled messages, and embodied oracular knowing

Together, we’ll deepen our connection to the body’s wisdom and open the door to a more intuitive, empowered way of being.

If this resonates with you, if you feel that quiet nudge or an intrinsic pull, don’t second-guess your inner knowing. Reach out and join us.

I look forward to walking this intimate journey of remembering your ancient cosmic wisdom within.

With truth, love and gratitude,

Stephanie Chaunte Leong
